Romans 14:7 “For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone”
We are all living for something and all of us one day will die for something. The question is what is it? What are we living for? Last week I talked about the frailness of life. At any moment we could be gone. I could die while writing this blog or you could die while reading it. Regardless, at any moment our lives could come to an end. You might be thinking this is pretty morbid. But I don’t think this is morbid, I think this is just reality. Our lives our FRAGILE.
Writer Frederick Buechner said. “ Intellectually we all know that we will die, but we do not really know it in the sense that the knowledge becomes a part of us. We do not really know it in the sense of living as though it were true. On the contrary, we tend to live as though our lives would go on forever.”
Today, don’t live as though your life was going on forever. Live it for something that counts and personally I believe nothing counts more than living your life unto your Creator, Savior, and Lord, Jesus Christ. So help someone out today. Love on your neighbor. Spend time with your family. Whatever it is, glorify God, live in this moment, because at the end of it all you will have died for something and what will matter most at that point?
